Mini Hair Haul

As you know I just recently got my hair cut & coloured. Since then I'd say the main focus of my hair has changed. I wasnt too worried about my colour fading (since it had faded so much I doubt it could've faded anymore lol) & my hair was brittle & damaged from going too long without a proper cut (6 months!). I went through my product box & realized that most of my products focused on repairing damaged hair since my hair has been through alot (I went from blonde, to black, to red, to brown, to pink.. ect). On my break at work I browsed the hair product section for some products that focused on protecting colour & just moisturizing & nourishing the hair since my hair is pretty healthy now. I'd like to keep it that way. I grabbed these three things & hopefully I'll have a review for you next month or so on how I like them & what they did or did not do for me.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition dryness reveal treatment. It has olive, avocado & shea oils in it along with apricot seeds. My hair is extremely thin, even though I have alot of it, so during the summer the heat from the sun & my styling tools dry my hair out. I really like Garnier's products for both my hair & skin. Even though its not an expensive salon brand, my hair has always responded really well to the fruit oils in their hair products & their skincare products are gentle yet effective on my sensitive skin. I will be using this as my regular conditioner (using my Vichy shampoo) & leaving it on for 3 minutes.
Garnier Fructis Colour Shield instant colour sealer. I needed a new hair serum since Im running low on the one Im currently using so I thought I'd try one that helps prevent hair colour from fading. As I said before, I love Garnier products & how they work for me. Even if it doesnt help protect my colour, it smells amazing & should still do what a regular serum does. This products is to be applied on damp hair & not rinsed out.
Infusium 23 Moisture Replenisher leave in treatment. A few posts ago I mentioned that the Repair & Renew was my favourite but I dont need to repair my hair anymore so I thought I'd pick up another bottle for extra moisture & conditioning. I adore Infusium products so Im pretty positive I'll love this kind just as much as the repairing one. I'll be spraying this on damp hair before my the Garnier Colour Shield.

Top 5 Eye Brushes

If I had to pick only 5 eye brushes, these are the ones I would choose:

The MAC 239 is a lid shader brush. It is probably the best eyeshadow brush I have ever owned. The hair is so soft & it picks up & packs on the colour amazingly. It blends shadows together flawlessly & is the perfect size for almost any eye shape. This brush is highly recommended!
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The MAC 227 is a blending brush. Its very large & fluffy & is the best at blending bold colours & harsh lines. Its also great for adding highlight to the brow (& it can be used on the cheek bone as well!)
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The MAC 214 is a smudger brush. Its extremely dense & applies colour evenly & in a straight line. I prefer this brush for the lower lash line since its pretty small & for creating a winged shadow on either the upper or lower eye.
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The MAC 217 is probably the best colour blending & crease brush on the market. Its hairs are super soft & picks up little or alot of product (depending on what you want). It blends colours together & fades colour really well. This brush is highly recommended!
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The Jordane B-44 Eyeliner is a precision point liner with an extremely thin tip. It can create the thinnest lines aswell as fatter ones. This brush makes lining the eyes with any kind of line (gel, cream, liquid) extremely easy. This brush is highly recommended!
Available at www.jordane.com

Hope this helped!

Top 5 Face Brushes

If I had to pick only 5 face brushes, these are the ones I would choose:

The MAC 150 is an all over powder brush. Its very soft & fluffy but gets the job done. Its great for buffing any type of powder (matte, loose, pressed, mineralized) into the skin over top of a foundation or on its own. I have had this brush shed the smallest amount. This brush is highly recommended!
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The MAC 168 is a contour or blush brush. I use this for contouring my cheeks. It picks up a light amount of cream product & deposits it evenly into the hollows of my cheeks. It blends very well aswell, the only down side is that it can stain easily because it is white hair. This brush is highly recommended!
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The MAC 188 is a duo fibre stippling brush. Its a multipurpose brush that can be used for liquid foundation, blush or highlighter. I personally use this brush for highlighting the top of my cheek bones. Its the smaller version of the MAC 187 brush which to me is rather large for the features on my face.
Available at MAC counters, stores & online

The Visage Blush Brush is my favourite brush for the cheeks. It has a bit of a dome shape to it & it fits the apple of my cheek perfectly. Ive just recently started noticing some shedding but I think this brush is around 10years old. I took it from my mom & her brushes havent been updated in forever.
Available at Caryl Baker Visage & online

The Jordane B-54 Square Shader is what I usually use for my concealer. Its a square shaped brush that is flexible & blends cream products right into the skin. I got this brush from my school & have really taken to the way it applies cream & liquid concealer.
Available at www.jordane.com

I hope this was helpful!

OOTD!

So this is what I wore to run errands today, my day off. Its comfy & cute. My favourite way to be! I know my mirror is terribly dirty looking but this is an old mirror from my parents house that I've had since I was like 10years old. I cant get the marker off of it & it has smudges that are now permanent :( I'll get a new one eventually. & yes, that is a picture of Kelly Osbourne in a bikini taped to my mirror. Shes my inspiration, my role model.

Top: Garage
Tank: Garage
Leggings: Urban Outfitters
Flats: Nordstrom

My makeup from today will be posted tomorrow! Its a super fun look :)

NOTD!

This is a new shade by Orly called "gumdrop". It's a bright robins egg blue polish & one of my favourites.

Its Obvious....

I CHANGED MY HAIR

My friend Anna cut & coloured my hair for her interview at a salon. We used the colour "medium intense red blonde" by Ion with level 10 developer by Salon Care Professional. Not much was done to the cut except she shortened my layers & gave me quite a few more near the top of my head. The bottom layer was trimmed 2cm (trying to grow my hair out) & then she angled my bangs so they would grow out nicer. This colour is extremely intense once freshely dyed, it tones down & looks more natural after a few washes.

A red hair care blog will be posted soon enough!
