Warm Smokey Eye

Hey everyone! This is another makeup tutorial for my favourite smokey eye. I wore this out to dinner with my boyfriend the other night. Its very warmed toned with coppers & oranges. Warm colours look great on me because my hair colour is warm & my all over colouring is "winter", which is cool based.

Vainglorious!

Hey everyone! I know its been so long since a makeup post but I've just been so busy. Life has pretty much gotten ahead of me & I'm just trying to deal with things one day at a time, but its getting really hard. I hope everyone had a great xmas, new years & whatever holiday you celebrate! This look was inspired by an Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow duo that I purchased a couple months ago but forgot about. The colours & pigmentation are beautiful. Many people perceive Elizabeth Arden as an "old lady's brand", which is true in some cases as it has very loyal users who are generally older since their anti-aging skincare is A-mazing but their makeup is definitely worth checking out. I have two lipsticks from them which are just awesome, reviews soon! Enjoy this look & be sure to check out my youtube tutorial! Early Xmas

Yesterday I had a quick Christmas with my boyfriend as he went to his parents for the holidays. I also had my last shift at work before Christmas yesterday as well & my manager had little gift bags for us.

 

My boyfriend got me these two candles from Bath & Body Works; spiced apple toddy & marshmallow fireside, & a best of the 80's CD. Anyone who knows me really well knows I LOVE 80's music, totally listening to this CD as I write this post :) This CD features: The Pointer Sisters, Deniece Williams, WHAM!, Boy Meets Girl, Eddie Murphy, Dead or Alive, Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam, Cyndi Lauper (looooveee), Terence Trent D'Arby, Men at Work.

 

He also got me this cardigan from Jacob, its super cozy. They didnt have my size so I got one size up & its the perfect sweater to snuggle up in!

This is what I got James! I dont think hes ever had a proper cologne of his own before so we spent some time at my work to choose a scent he really liked. Burberry London for men was his pick.

This is what I got from work, such a thoughtful gift bag! As you can see I got into the chocolates immediately, white chocolate is my favourite. Kat Von D: Tattoo Chronicles Candelabra Edition

Hey everyone! This is a review on the Kat Von D: Tattoo Chronicles Candelabra Edition eyeshadow palette. I got this as a present from my Aunt & Uncle (thanks!) & I thought it was so beautiful I had to post a review & swatches! Its sold at Sephora & retails for $49 USD, $59 CAD.

This is the front of the palette, the whole case is a black velvety material & the red is smooth metallic. The design was drawn by Kat & it opens like a book. 

 This is the first thing you see when you open it up. There are a few diary entries before you get to the makeup.

This is the makeup part of the palette. The left side is a mirror surrounded by shiny red & black designs, again by Kat. Then there are 12 eye shadows, 0.053 oz each & a full size Sin-Full Lash mascara in Puro Amor.

Overall this palette is beautiful. The designs are gorgeous & the art work is amazing. The packaging itself is very boxy & strong with a light magnet keeping it shut. The eye shadows are a little powdery but are super pigmented. The majority are shimmer or glitter, the texture's remind me of Urban Decay. I havent opened the mascara yet, I will do a separate post on that when I finish the three I already have on the go. I think this palette is really great, I wish the shadows were a little less powdery but the quality is still pretty top.

Happy 21st Birthday to ME :)

I got a tattoo in honour of my mom. She believed loved ones reincarnated into hummingbirds & butterflies. Her favourite was hummingbirds, she had figurines & all sorts of hummingbird decorations throughout the house after my Nana (her mom) passed away. When she was in the hospital she told me she wanted my tribute tattoo to be of a hummingbird, & of course I added the breast cancer ribbon since that's what took her away from me. This is located at the top of my left boob "over my heart". The star is from a previous tattoo I got 3years ago.

 This is what my boyfriend got me for my birthday & of course my kitty had to join in. These are really warm, thick, ribbed leggings from Jacob, I have a huge obsession with leggings. Then he got me "Dressed to Dazzle" lipglass from MAC & "Unconditionally Fabulous" nail laquer from MAC.

These are from my dad, I bought all of these & he wrapped them. My mom always shopped for me so he had no idea where to start lol. I didnt realize how many shirts I had purchased until I took this photo. The dark brown top, the mint green top, the black top & the tights are from Costa Blanca, the light brown top, the blue top & the floral top are from Forever21, the purple top is from RW & Co., the pj pants are from Jacob, the booties are from Aldo & the perfume is Viva La Juicy by Juicy Couture (amaaaaazing scent!)

 This is from my brother & his girlfriend. The chocolates are from Purdy's, the nail polish is from American Apparel, not sure where the beautiful scarf is from (everyone knows my love for zebra print!) & a $75 MAC giftcard (The Bay counters only)

  

This is the only thing I got from my mom, she had this put away for my 21st birthday since I was 5years old. This ring was my Great Great Grandmothers ring. It's over 100 years old & is actually my birthstone. The centre is the turquoise rock surrounded by little diamond chips. I was suppose to receive this from my mom herself, she always believed that 21 was a big birthday. Unfortunately I wasnt able to share it with her but she is always in my heart. I love you mom <3

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday & celebrated with me. It was a great day. I slept in till noon, watched a movie with my boyfriend, had a mint hot chocolate from Second Cup, got my tattoo done, went to dinner with my dad, my brother & his girlfriend, my boyfriend, my roommate & my moms bestfriend & her 2 kids (they got me a $65 MAC giftcard <3) who are like family to me. I love all of you so much, thanks for making this such a special day for me & surrounding me with your love & support. It was hard without my mom.
